When you become a sustaining member, you’re not just donating — you’re investing:
• Revitalizing historic buildings to keep them vibrant community hubs. As an accredited Main Street Program, Gallup MainStreet Arts and Cultural District can access free services for downtown businesses and property owners through New Mexico MainStreet. These services include graphic design, branding, architectural renderings, and historic tax credit applications. All of this and more is available at no cost to the business or property owner.
• Attracting visitors who support our local economy. Every summer, we host the Levitt AMP Gallup Music Series. The series aims to activate our underused outdoor Courthouse Plaza by hosting a series of free summer concerts in downtown Gallup. The Levitt AMP series pairs local and emerging musical acts with national and international touring artists for 10 weeks during the summer. As part of the series, we invite local artisans to our Levitt AMP Maker’s Market during the concerts, free of charge, allowing them the opportunity to sell their work for no cost. This makes Historic Downtown Gallup the go-to spot for art and musical entertainment in Gallup.
• Supporting small businesses that bring life and jobs to downtown. We offer business training classes to local entrepreneurs and operate the Downtown Business Resource Center, which has media equipment to help business owners create marketing materials. Recordings of past classes are available on our website. This service is free for downtown businesses, people looking to start a business, or those needing a co-working space with free high-speed internet. We also host pop-up maker’s markets so artisans can sell their work. Additionally, we maintain a strong social media presence to promote businesses and events in downtown Gallup.

• $15/month from 10 people can help underwrite our monthly social media and advertising campaigns for historic downtown.
• 20 people giving $25/month = can help to underwrite the Levitt AMP Gallup Music Series
• 40 people giving $50/month = can help to underwrite a year of programming and revitalization efforts.

We work daily to make Historic Downtown Gallup a place that people want to spend time, and to do that we need your help. During the Coal Avenue Commons construction project and through Covid-19 we provided construction mitigation services that helped businesses survive both construction and the pandemic. We created the Art on the Fence project to help beautify and add interest to the construction fencing during construction. Additionally, through our partnership with New Mexico MainStreet we have received over $2 million in capital outlay project funding to help the City of Gallup pay for these amazing projects.
We partnered with gallupARTs to create the Tiny Art Project in downtown Gallup bringing a sense of whimsy and fun to the downtown area.
